Hi Enrico, I can suggest two good products: if you can spend around 1000 € or something less, you can buy the Motu Travel or the Motu 828 mk2.
Otherwise, you can choose an Edirol UA-20X audio usb mobile which costs 150 €, an Edirol FA-101 Audio Firewire which costs more or less 500 € or a M-Audio.
I suggest you to go in a well-stocked shop or to check on a good web page and choose the product according to your budget. Check if in the interface there are also the drivers for the OS X system.

I have a disturbing latency when I record a voice or an instrument with Logic 6 and I have to exit and enter in the recording program (I use a G4 program with the OS 9.2 system and the PCI 2408 II interface).
The problem is that there is a delay when I press REC or when I stop the program. Is it a problem due to the hardware or to the set of the Locgi? May you help me? Thanks, Stefano

Dear Stefano, the solution is very simple: you just need to set the Logic 6, enabling the "Punch on the fly", in the audio menu.
You will notice the singer’s or the musician’s live audio just during the recording process, while when you exit you will hear the background track.
It is the same effect produced by the old recorders. With this system you will avoid to overload the cpu and the punch in/out will be perfect!!
